Hi thanks for the help. I didn't know about Nokia Suit which I guess it is a comprehensive PC managing system for the phone. I'm looking at the information page for Nokia PC suite; this is the basic version of the new Nokia Suite. It says it requires at least 300MB free space, which is a lot to set aside on an older computer, and it also requires Win Xp Professional or Home Sp 2 or later. It doesn't say what computing power is optimum.

My Xp is service pack 1. I'm thinking it would be better if the basic drivers were available as a stand alone package for basic connectivity through a data cable as I feel introducing all the extras may undermine my own PC.
